This antique Victorian double-ended perfume bottle is crafted from emerald green faceted glass and adorned with beautiful repousse sterling silver … Read more This antique Victorian double-ended perfume bottle is crafted from emerald green faceted glass and adorned with beautiful repousse sterling silver caps. The bottle features two distinct ends—one with a hinged lid covering a stopper, and the other with a screw top—allowing it to hold two different scents. The flip-top side is still plugged with the original glass dauber but the top has broken off of it leaving it lodged in the hole. I will let the buyer decide if they want to remove it. as a result, the liquid inside that half has discolored and the interior could use a cleaning if a restorer could remove the plug.
These bottles date back to the late 19th century, likely from the 1880s or 1890s, and were designed for noble ladies to carry in their purses to counteract unpleasant odors or prevent fainting.
This piece measures roughly 4" long x 5/8" diameter. I took a lot of photos from different angles to show the faint flea-bites on the facets. The lids aren't dented and work as they should. See less
