the carved frame displays the canonical elements of the louis xvi style: fluted uprights, brackets adorned with oval medallions, acanthus leaf capitals, tapered fluted legs, and egg-and-dart friezes. The gently pointed arched silhouette of the panels is characteristic of late 18th-century duchess beds. The panels are reupholstered in royal blue wool, edged with a double row of patinated bronze upholstery tacks. The fabric is visibly new. The paint shows slight wear at the edges, consistent with the age of the wood. The set is in very good overall condition. Reupholstering in a different fabric is possible upon request from the seller's workshop. Dimensions: h. 133 cm, w. 150 cm. Compatible with a 190 x 140 cm bed base and mattress. Weight: 50 kg.
