A demountable, linear oak body with panelled sides, fluted pilasters and a moulded cornice. Two leaded glass doors in frame construction are hung on external brass hinges. The pattern of the large-scale leaded glass, consisting of small, old stained-glass panes, is slightly reminiscent of Gothic windows.

Inside, the cabinet is fitted with 4 height-adjustable shelves on toothed rails.

The double doors close with the original lock and key. The right-hand door leaf can be secured at the top and bottom on the inside using iron bolts.

Height: 215 cm / 84.65 in.

Width: 147 cm or 161 cm (top moulding) / 57.87 in or 63.39 in (top moulding).

Depth: 52.5 cm / 20.67 in.

Internal depth: 48.5 cm / 19.09 in.

Shelf depth: 43 cm / 16.93 in.

Clear dimensions of the door opening: 163.5 x 118 cm / 64.37 in x 46.46 in.

In good condition, ready for everyday use, with slight age-related signs of wear, including a small glued crack in a stained-glass pane in the lower right-hand corner of the right-hand door (see photos). The wooden surface has been stripped of its dark finish and carefully sanded, revealing the beautiful grain and texture of the old oak in a light, unsealed finish. The interior has also been completely sanded, and the back panel and base have been resealed.

The cabinet body can be dismantled into several parts for transport (base, 2 side panels, 2 doors, cornice, back panel frame and panels, shelves and support rails) and easily reassembled using wooden plug joints and wooden dowels. See less
