While he had a particular fondness for lacquered goatskin, this thermos jug illustrates another facet of his work: turned mahogany-grain wood, whose tapered curves and natural warmth contrast with the cool, golden finish of the polished brass mount. The asymmetrical spout with its sloping lip and tapered rim, the slender, arched handle, the collar, and the foot ring—all in polished brass—compose a metallic architecture that is both functional and sculptural, characteristic of the formal vocabulary of the Macabo workshop.

The double-walled interior ensures the thermos function. A brass stopper with a faceted, ogival grip is included. Attributed to Aldo Tura, without signature, according to the custom of the house. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
