The drum is constructed with what looks to be hide. The artwork features two stylized birds facing opposite of another within a circular field, surrounded by rhythmic blue forms suggestive of water, clouds, and ceremonial ornamentation. The turquoise and blue palette is accented with touches of pale yellow and blues.

While we cannot definitively identify its origin, the construction, materials, and painted imagery are reminiscent of ceremonial drums found in various cultural traditions. Any attribution remains speculative, as this drum was acquired at an estate sale without provenance, and research into similar items has yielded no definitive information.
