Vintage Louis XV style Chinoiserie writing desk or vanity by Baker in cinnabar lacquer with hand-painted gilt depicting floral and garden scenery, made in the USA c. 1980s.
As part of Baker’s Collector’s Edition, this archival reproduction represents an era where no expense was spared in production. The desk features white oak drawer interiors built with dovetail joinery, solid brass keyholes, and exquisite, hand-painted details.
This piece has a fully finished back, allowing it to be positioned in the center of the room. The body of the desk is in excellent condition with few imperfections. The black-lacquered top has signs of use. The original key remains with the piece and all three drawer locks function perfectly.
