A heavy, hand-thrown stoneware kitchen canister made by the family-run Campos Filhos workshop in Aveiro, Portugal. Dating to the mid-20th century, this lidded storage jar highlights the region's traditional salt-glaze techniques, displaying a rich, variegated brown finish with a highly textured, speckled surface.
The cylindrical vessel and matching domed finial lid are detailed with geometric bands of raised relief beading and finely combed vertical lines. The underside of the clay base bears the authentic impressed maker's stamp: "CAMPOS, FILHOS / AVEIRO / MADE IN PORTUGAL."
