Offering an antique Victorian Sutherland table, estimated mid-to-late 19th century (circa 1860–1880). These tables are characterized by their narrow profile when folded and wide, oval or rounded drop leaves that extend into a functional dining or occasional table.Key Features and Specifications Crafted from burr walnut (also known as burled walnut) for the tabletop, featuring intricate grain pattern. Design: Features a gate-leg mechanism with turned end supports and carved cabriole feet,resting on original porcelain castors.
Open measures 44” w x 36” d x 28.5” h. Folded 16” w x 36” d for storage.
Time has not been kind as there are many scratches and bubbles in the tops veneer. Some repairs have been made over the years. Leave as is or veneer could be repaired or replaced to your liking. Gate legs work well. Original porcelain casters can be s little finicky. Still a beauty and handy as a spare table or everyday use.
