An exceptional English Regency-inspired dining table by Maitland-Smith, crafted with a richly figured flame mahogany veneer top showcasing a dramatic radial sunburst pattern. The circular top is framed by an intricately book-matched border, highlighting the remarkable depth and movement of the wood grain.
Designed for both elegance and functionality, the table features Maitland-Smith's innovative "Roundabout" extension system, allowing the table to expand with fitted leaves to accommodate larger gatherings while maintaining its striking circular form. The top is supported by a Regency-style pedestal base with turned baluster supports, a shaped central stretcher, and four gracefully splayed saber legs terminating in solid brass caps and casters.
The warm mahogany finish, architectural pedestal base, and impressive craftsmanship make this table a sophisticated centerpiece for both traditional and transitional interiors.
