This is a fabulous solid wood, … Read more Looking to be inspired while working on an elegant Asian inspired solid wood desk? This is a fabulous solid wood, vintage writing desk or it could be used as a vanity. Many uses. We used Annie Sloan's Emperor's Silk red chalk paint and finished with dark wax to create an aged look. The desk measures 48" wide by 18" deep (with the slight incent measuring 16.5" deep) by 30.5" tall including the thick glass top. The knee opening is 21" wide and 23" height. All original hardware is in place. Rope turn trim below the top drawers and the interior sides are trimmed with Asian bric-a-brac carved wood design including the interior corners of the top of desk. 7 drawers, bottom on each side are very deep for great storage. Drawers are dovetailed and slide in and out with no issues. Minor issues include a missing piece of veneer in the right side upper bric-a-brac design which we painted over so it's hard to notice and left hand side bottom inner foot is missing a small chunk of wood, again which we painted over so it is difficult to notice the defect. Insider drawers are clean and in good condition. So many uses, great in any room really. Office, formal room, etc. See less
