The design stands out for its use of materials and its principle of cantilever and counterweight. The lamp has two poles connected by an angled arm. The lamp head sits at the upper end, balanced by an elegant counterweight in the form of a solid block. The brass lamp head can be rotated, and the upper part of the arm can be swiveled. This allows the direction of the light to be controlled. The reflector is mirrored on the inside.
Delicately crafted feet lift the lamp off the floor by a small gap. The lamp is marked with the manufacturer’s information beneath the counterweight. The rotary switch on the lamp head has been replaced with a foot switch.
The lamp is in very good condition, with signs of use and patina. It has been polished by an artisan, and the cable and switch have been replaced. This piece has an attribution mark,
