English late 19th century Neoclassical garden urn of the “campania” or “campagna” style mounted on a substantial square pedestal base. The cast, reconstituted stone has the color and texture of seasoned terracotta mixed with dark patina from a century of exposure to the elements. A low, wide bowl at the top with a pronounced gadroon motif rests on a simple pedestal for visual harmony of proportion. The square podium features a thick, wreath appliqué on each side of dense botanical imagery. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition as they are an essential part of the description. Stamped by the foundry of Doulton, Lambeth, the urn separates into three components for easier transportation and installation.
