French, 20th century Empire-style ceiling fixture of green tôle using eight candelabra lights to illuminate the stunning gilt bronze accents. The round metal bowl reflects a beautiful hunter-green tone in the paint; it is suspended from the gilded palmette crown by chains that incorporate subtle acanthus forms in the links around an artichoke finial that rises to a peak from the center. A line of eight, scrolling arms reminiscent of cornucopia feature Neoclassical acanthus and vaguely Egyptian motifs typical of the Empire/Napoleonic visual codes. The fixture has been professionally rewired to US electrical standards using UL-listed parts and is ready to delight in your interior.
