Part of … Read more An exceptional original mid-century modern expandable dining table designed by Merton Gershun for the prestigious American of Martinsville. Part of one of the company's most coveted mid-century lines, this piece features the highly recognizable, inlaid brushed nickel "X" accent motifs flush-mounted into the four corners of the tabletop.

Crafted from premium American walnut, the table boasts a beautiful straight-grain top pattern, clean geometric apron lines, and sleek tapered legs. This incredibly clever design is a masterclass in mid-century versatility: in its unextended form, it functions as a compact and space-saving 36-inch square table. When the two included 12-inch matching extension leaves are inserted, it expands into a 60-inch rectangular dining table that comfortably hosts six guests.
