additional information:
impressive viennese art nouveau gentleman's writing desk (freestanding, 9 drawers) + armchair by the imperial and royal court cabinetmaker j. W. Müller with geometric marquetry - circa 1905. The original brass locks bear the engraved company name “j. W. Müller k.u.k. Hoftischler vienna”. The design for the duo (writing desk + armchair) may have originated from the circle of otto wagner. It has been carefully finished by a specialist with a fine layer of shellac, and the functionality of all drawers and locks has been restored (one key is included - this locks all locks).
the j. W. Müller cabinetmaking workshop was also selected by prof. Josef hoffmann to craft the kitchen and bedrooms of the purkersdorf sanatorium.
