My father bought this from an Americana dealer thinking this was … Read more For your consideration, a wonderful eagle carved from bamboo. My father bought this from an Americana dealer thinking this was folk art, but my internet search found a very similar example which was Meiji period Japanese from the late 19th, early 20th century. The last bit of the beak is not bamboo but plaster, either a very old repair or original to the carving. Regardless, it's a handsome object. See less
