Design Plus Gallery presents a Set of Oiseaux de Paradis (Birds of Paradise) from Gien. This is a historic and highly celebrated earthenware pattern crafted from premium French faience. Originally adapted from traditional Chinese porcelain designs by artist Jacques Olerys, this pattern features exotic, colorful birds nestled among fanciful flora, framed beautifully by a scalloped, shell-shaped rim and a delicate hand-painted blue border. Features a gorgeous wave-shaped Coquille rim outlined with a thin blue thread.Handcrafted from warm white clays that give it a signature rich texture. The dinnerware can be washed safely in a dishwasher. However, it is highly recommended to use a gentle, non-citrus, non-abrasive detergent on an air-dry cycle rather than high-heat or sanitizing modes.Microwave While pieces can handle a microwave, they should only be used for quick food warming. They are not safe for actual cooking or long-duration defrosting. The set as a whole are in good condition with usage and minimal chips. Made in France.
