Tall and impressive Danish bookcase with double door cabinet underneath i solid oregon pine with wonderful authentic warm patina.

Designed by architect Martin Nyrop and manufactured by cabinetmaker Rud Rasmussen in 1905.
This cabinet was a part of the interior of Copenhagen City Hall where Nyrop designed both building and furniture. The style is Danish Art Nouveau also referred to as National Romantic style or "Skønvirke". Typical Scandinavian design from the period.

Three height adjustable shelves.
Cabinet door with original lock. Keyhole plate are not original. Key included.

Note the hand carved trim at the top and the visible joints with an X in the middle. Lots of authentic wear that can only be achieved over 120 years. The bookcase will stand tall and stable for another 120 years.
