About: One of the more beautiful, charming, and mystical pieces we have in our entire collection. This unusual color palette of a tremendous amount of cool blues and warm and earthy neutrals with beige, espresso, mocha, muted salmons and corals, kisses of greenish-blues, apricot, and even soft blush add up to offer us this beyond attractive palette to love. Then of course you have this magnetic design with the medallion motif inside of surrounded filler motifs of the iconic Herati fish, also known as the Water-Garden that tells the love story of two fish swimming around the world looking for one another. In the border you have the legendary Serapi border, otherwise known as the Turtle border or Samavar border that you will find in the most sought-after pieces of all time. But, of course, the thing that does it for me is the off-center, asymmetrical elements that you can't ignore in this rug. The Mother medallion and how imperfect she is, that is my favorite part of not only this piece, but this imbalance in motifs are my top two favorite things in rugs. This piece also has my #1 favorite thing in old rugs - abrash. This is the natural variation of colors that shift from one dye lot to another. This is how you get one motif that is "suppose" to be one shade of blue, but inside that motif is has 3 or 4 shades of blues because the wool was either dyed at a different time, the weaver ran out fo the intended wool color, or she just decided to switch it up and change her mind like the wind changes directions. This is nature in its purest form manifested into a rug. This piece I adore so much, and I know where ever you put it - you will LOVE it. Foyer, bedroom, kitchen, office, or anywhere! Let the mystical energy impose its' will on every onlooker that passes by and admires her! SO GOOD.
This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one in the world, no others are available.
