Inspired by our human need for connection, "Angel of Hope" an original photograph was created using three things: Something from nature, an object from the artists home and one of her original textiles.
Here, a dogwood blossom, Santa Fe hand-carved angel and a hand-printed textile offer us a moment of peace and hope.
A hand-carved angel captures the folk art spirit of Santa Fe, NM and symbolizes, faith, hope, love and protection. "Angel of Hope" can be seen as a messenger from above, guiding us on life's journey.

Frame is handcrafted in the USA and is made is made of solid poplar hardwood.

About the artist:
Paula Stebbins Becker is an artist and textile designer living in Rhode Island. She received her MFA at Cranbrook Academy of Art and has balanced a successful career in design with her studio work that is exhibited nationally. Paula develops her artworks intuitively, experimenting with a variety of techniques and materials to create texture, color and patterns. Each hand created artwork is unique, deeply connected to the process of making, including; mono-prints, drawing, pastel, collage and weaving.
