They are not a common vase to find, especially the irregular diamond shape. One is in perfect condition and one has a small chip on the bottom rim. They age from the early 20th century. These are 12" tall, two-handled hand painted vases which has the marking on the bottom in green "Royal Nippon" circling a globe with "Nishiki" across the globe in banner form. It is marked "Hand Painted" in blue above the globe mark. and numbered. The front of the vase has a scene with a stream and trees with a church in the background, the back of the vase has hills and trees. The vase has a matte color background with objects done in a shiny enamel. Some crazing, mostly visible on the handles, and the handles have some wear of the gold finish , more on one vase than the other. They have been loved and used. over the 100 year life of this vase,

Not a common vase to find! It is an irregular diamond type shape.
After research, this mark “Royal Nishiki Nippon” was made for the domestic Japanese market beginning in 1906.
I am tempted to keep these for my own personal use. they are stunning. See less
