A dramatic pair of vintage sculptural table lamps executed in the glamorous Hollywood Regency manner of the 1970s and 1980s. Each lamp features a reclining black panther perched atop a richly textured spherical form with swirling relief decoration evocative of celestial or “Starry Night” inspired motifs.
The striking contrast between the dark patinated feline figures and the warm bronze-toned globes creates an exotic and sophisticated presence reminiscent of luxury decorative pieces by Maitland-Smith and other high-end makers of the era.
