This exquisite vintage Israeli mezuzah case is expertly crafted from .925 sterling silver, showcasing the masterful filigree wirework tradition long celebrated in Jerusalem and Yemenite-style silversmithing. The front face features a highly detailed, openwork scrolled filigree pattern centered around a prominent, bezel-set natural tiger's eye cabochon stone. The stone exhibits excellent chatoyancy, shifting beautifully in warm gold and bronze tones when exposed to light.
Designed to be affixed to a doorpost, this architectural religious artifact blends deep spiritual significance with fine mid-to-late 20th-century artisan craftsmanship. The reverse features an open scroll chamber or mounting brackets to safely secure a standard handwritten kosher klaf (parchment scroll). A beautifully preserved piece of authentic Jewish ceremonial art.
Sourcing Note: Proudly acquired via the prestigious J. Greenstein & Co. Auction House, the premier international marketplace for rare and antique Judaica.
