I have been told that it looks like white jade, but it's NOT white jade, but no one can tell me the actual name of this stone. I don't believe it's agate either. In any case, it's translucent, hand carved and beautiful. This style is probably most associated with the 18th-19th century Qing Dynasty, so I believe it was created circa 1850. It has a curved upper lip and fluted shape with a small foot ring. The ornately carved stand is huanghuali wood and they make an elegant pair. Apx 2 5/8" tall and 3 7/8" across the top edge. It weighs 4.6oz and has a small tag on the bottom. See less
