This is a beautiful antique Victorian walnut chest of drawers by Abernethy Furniture Co. of Kansas City, Missouri, dating to the late 1800s (19th Century).
It features rich walnut grain, hand-cut dovetail drawers, original inset locks, and unusual lift-top compartments or glove boxes for document or jewelry storage. The clean Victorian form shows subtle Eastlake influence with fluted corner details and understated geometric styling.
Solid and sturdy with beautiful aged character and wear consistent with age.
