Sourced from an estate auction in Minneapolis alongside a collection of collectible ceramics, the piece is unsigned but attributed to the region, likely originally acquired through the Northern Clay Center.

The exterior features a contrasting combination of matte and high-gloss finishes. The design shows a minimalist winter landscape composed of a sprawling, leafless tree hand-drawn in fine black ink outlines and filled with soft charcoal washes. The scene is grounded by a structural fence line sitting above a muted, celadon-gray horizon wall. Notably, the branch illustration extends past the body and adorns the flat bottom of the vase. The unglazed base bears a small, handwritten cursive monogram signature (illegible). Made from high-fired studio porcelain.
