on december 27, 1902, the distribution center of the daily newspaper “die zeit” was opened. Otto wagner was responsible for the redesign and the entire interior design and designed a special armchair for the room, which was published in "das interieur" ("das interieur iv", volume 1903, pp. 76f). Further references to this chair can be found in a supplement to a kohn catalog from 1902. It is clear that the siegel paris exhibition chair from 1900, model no. 715 – the "world's fair armchair" – served as the basis for wagner's design.
