This model incorporates the iconic bentwood techniques developed in the 19th century.

the frame is made of solid beechwood, steam-bent, a wood chosen for its strength and flexibility.
the lines are continuous, particularly in the one-piece armrests, which naturally extend the rocking motion.

the seat and back are upholstered in lightweight and comfortable octagonal rattan cane.

under the seat, there is a "thonet" label, a "made in poland" marking, and a reference number "j12-70," which likely place its manufacture around 1970, within the polish production of thonet's legacy (particularly in the radomsko factories).

the chair is in good condition, with a beautiful patina from use. The caning is taut and well-preserved, with only a few discreet marks visible under the glides from use as a rocking chair.
