The artist drew this linear view of sky, human figure, shadow work, and the ground are blocked colors that were placed directly onto a flat slab of limestone (or a treated metal plate) using an oil-based medium the plate is treated with a chemical mixture to affix the image. Once the plate/stone is dampened with water it is rolled with oil-based ink then pressed to transfer the ink to create the final print. The artist is unknown for There Used to be A Tree Here, but A/P or Artist Proof is written in pencil, with the title, and his illegible name along the bottom. The lithograph is thickly matted in light yellow tone and deeply recessed gold frame. It is in good overall condition with minimal wear for its usage See less
