Richly decorated with delicate gilt accents and geometric ornamentation near the rim and base, this refined decorative vessel reflects the influence of late Meiji to Taisho period Japanese export porcelain.

The vase is executed in a graceful baluster form with dual applied handles and a scalloped rim, enhanced by finely painted botanical motifs in shades of cobalt blue, lavender, pale yellow, and soft green. The flying bird adds movement and charm to the composition, while the subtle jeweled enamel and gold detailing provide additional depth and sophistication.

Marked on the underside “Japan” with a decorative wreath cartouche and “Painted” designation, indicating hand-decorated Japanese export artistry intended for the Western market during the early 20th century.
