1976 Royal Copenhagen United States Bicentenary Commemorative Plate, which marks the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Made in Denmark by the historic porcelain brand Royal Copenhagen.
Designed by the well-known Danish artist Sven Vestergaard.
Features an embossed, relief-style central scene depicting the Founding Fathers gathered for the signing.
The backdrop features stylized script text mimicking the original Declaration of Independence.
The border includes 13 stars at the top representing the original American colonies, framed by a traditional pine cone and needle wreath motif.
Produced using Royal Copenhagen’s iconic cobalt blue underglaze technique on premium white porcelain
7.25 inches (18 cm) in diameter x .75” deep
The reverse side features factory-pierced holes in the foot rim designed for easy wall hanging.
