This piece is in nice condition for its age, with gleaming white porcelain top to bottom. The majority of the blemishes found will not be visible when the sink is installed, and the others mentioned below were viewed with the sink at eye level, and several were too small for the camera to pick up. Top to bottom details: Though we often remove the faucets from the sinks we sell, these "Central" ones were retained since they are in better condition than most we see. There is some chrome loss to the handles, mainly the left one, and the rest of both look very good with relatively little pitting. They have not seen water for decades, so they were not recently tested, but the knobs' movement feels correct on both. The horizontal surface of the sink where the faucets reside and running around the basin is fine overall, but there are slight marks where the last faucet was installed, and there is some very light discoloration to the left of the left faucet that can most likely be removed with more effort. The rest of this surface is good with only a few light scratches to be found. The slightly raised lip running around the perimeter is also nice, save for some of the typical faint wear at the front. The sides of the basin are in very good condition on the front and sides, and the back is the same save for a small "mark" under the water overflow slot. The bottom of the basin is good. There is a little wear and a few tiny, shallow chips, the largest measuring 0.07". The flange looks to be newer and is in excellent shape, and the original plug is fine with no chrome deterioration. On the whole, the outside vertical sides and front are good with little wear. The front is fine down to the bottom edge, where there are two shallow chips that have been painted to help them blend in. The sides have a few small blemishes that look like something that can be removed, but Comet didn't work, and we stopped there, and the bottom edges have very common tiny chips that don't stand out when the sink is not at eye level. The underside of the sink had surface rust, mainly along the edges, and it was somewhat painted. Most of the corrosion was removed, and a quick coat of paint was applied to clean up the appearance. The pedestal looks fine when it is set up, as most all of the blemishes found are hidden. From the usual perspective, it looks very good on all sides, but there is a slight haze to the finish on the bottom half of the front that wasn't noticed until the pedestal was sitting on a table. The top and bottom both have some chipping, but with the top piece installed, the top ones are hidden, and the ones at the bottom are as far from view as can be. The rest of the front looks nice, and the sides and back are good with some light blemishes present. The interior has a little surface rust, and the bolt and crossbar assembly is very good. We sell sinks of this vintage on a regular basis, and although it has no manufacturer's mark or a date, it was determined that this one is most likley a Kohler or a "Standard". Please see the pictures for further details.
*** This piece is described in greater detail than is normally found, as the camera likes to hide blemishes with items such as this. There are pictures included with and without the use of flash in an attempt to show the details. This is evident with the tank lid, as it affected the color. The description is accurate to the best of our knowledge, and areas are pointed out that may look nearly flawless in the pictures.
