These are antique Egyptian Revival camel bookends, produced circa 1925.The model number 1008 stamped on the back or bottom directly tracks back to manufacturing by the Judd Manufacturing Company (H.L. Judd Co.) out of Wallingford, Connecticut. Heavy cast iron finished details with a bronze and copper-gilded patina.
Features a kneeling camel adorned with a highly decorative saddle blanket displaying a distinct crescent moon and star emblem. A tiered, stepped curved Art Deco pedestal base.

There is the number 1008 stamped into the bottom of each one. They are approximately 5" x 6" x 2" and heavy.

Resourced from the daughter and grand-daughter who reported the mother who is currently 100 years old always had them in her home.

Condition Notes: Cleaned with warm soapy water to remove grime and minimal flecks of white paint. Verdigris is maintained with the beautiful copper plating.
The original green felt was so very scant-mostly gone and hanging that I replaced it with new felt to protect t your surface. This can easily be removed if did not want. See less
