A handsome piece to add to a bookshelf or hold a mirror on a vanity. It is hand-carved with good luck and long life symbols of phoenixes, lions, and lotus flowers, lacquered in a cinnabar color, and gilded. The stand folds back, and the base has three drawers with brass teardrop pulls and escutcheons.
