each plate is entirely hand-painted with whimsical exotic fish motifs, rendered in vibrant tones of ochre, green, blue, coral and black, framed by an elegant white scroll border on a warm ivory glazed ground. The playful yet refined decoration perfectly captures the joyful spirit of mid-century italian ceramics and mediterranean design.

every plate features a different fish composition, making the set especially lively and visually striking. The reverse bears the original handwritten map pesaro mark.

beautiful both as serving pieces and as decorative wall plates, they create a sophisticated mediterranean, coastal or hollywood regency atmosphere when displayed together as a wall composition.
