Queen Anne style lowboy accent chest by Hekman Furniture Company. Very high quality vintage piece that would function beautifully as a hall console, bedside table, dressing table, or side chest.
The chest features a configuration of four drawers—one long top drawer over three smaller lower drawers—all accented by ornate brass batwing pulls. The exterior showcases highly figured walnut burl veneers with a rich, glowing patina that beautifully catches the light across the dished top, front, and side panels.
True to classic 18th-century styling, it features a deeply scalloped and shaped apron and sits atop cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. The drawers feature sturdy dovetailed oak construction, with the "Hekman" maker's stamp proudly displayed on the interior wall.
