At the beginning of his career, Lohmeyer studied architecture at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. One of his professors there was Egon Eiermann. Afterwards, Hartmut Lohmeyer worked as a freelance architect and designer. He also taught for a time at Alexandria University in Cairo.

The armchair offered here dates from the 1950s. This model was produced in limited numbers and is therefore rare. The leather shows signs of wear such as slight yellowing and minor imperfections.
