The body of the pot or vase is light grey, and it is decorated with a flower and leaf design in cobalt blue on the front and back sides. There are stripes at the top opening and below the flowers.

The bottom is marked in green with ARABIA - factory with tunnel kiln symbol - MADE IN FINLAND - 2. According to the Arabia website, this mark is a "Stylish sketch of Arabia's first tunnel kiln as a colored stamp between 1932 - 1949. Brown, green or gold. The mark signifies Arabia's new, at the time the world's largest, 122 meters long, tunnel kilns.
