A striking early-20th-century style barrister bookcase professionally reimagined in our signature Onyx Emerald Library Finish — a deep blackened emerald tone with subtle architectural gilding and softly aged brass-toned interiors.
This piece preserves the authentic narrow proportions and layered mechanics that define true antique Globe-Wernicke-style barrister bookcases. The original lift-up-and-slide-in glass door system remains visually intact, creating the distinctive recessed horizontal layering and shadow-line depth associated with classic library cabinetry.
The cabinet features four stacked compartments, including an open upper display section and three glass-front barrister compartments below. Each section retains its original stepped rhythm, rolled upper side corners, and layered shelf-front trim details, all highlighted with restrained aged gilding for a refined old-world presence.
