ABOUT
A vintage, wooden guitalin. The guitalin features a distinct trapezoidal body and typically has four courses of strings. The sound is often described as a hybrid between a banjo and a mandolin. Either played by finger-picking or using a plectrum.

DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1960.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Wood.
CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Repaired cracks on front. Missing one dowel. Missing strings.

Origin: It is a North American folk instrument invented in 1962 by Lyle Mayfield of Greenville, Illinois.
