​This mid-century piece showcases a beautiful hand-painted "reverse blue" (or blue ground) glaze. The artisan meticulously hand-painted the dense, high-contrast cobalt blue background, leaving the highly detailed white chrysanthemums, peonies, and fluttering butterflies to stand out in crisp, negative-space relief. Visible brush strokes in the deep indigo glaze add stunning texture, depth, and artisanal character.
