Finest meissen porcelain figurine group: seated crinoline lady in an elaborate costume: under the wide skirt, partially turned up at the hem, you can see the pleated petticoat with attached white rosette bows, the long-sleeved bodice with a deep neckline and the wide, wavy lap is decorated with bows, on the wide necklace adorned with bows the same gemstone is attached as to the earrings, the flat hat decorated with ribbons sits askew on the head, the high, elegant mules protrude from under the skirt at the front. Head tilted to the left and left hand raised, she is arguing with a boy dressed in who is clutching her skirt while she hides a golden apple in her right hand behind her back. The group is based on a flat, hexagonal base, the blue meissen sword mark is on the side behind the female figure. An excellent design with meticulous and thoughtful attention to detail. Designed by paul scheurich (1883-1945) who was painter, sculptor, graphic artist, drawer and stage designer. He worked for meissen manufactory from 1913 to 1936 and belonged to one of most important porcelain designers of the first half of the 20th century.
