A striking and increasingly hard-to-find set of four vintage architectural lounge chairs crafted in solid oak with exposed dowel joinery, sculptural curved arm rails, and original brass casters. These chairs embody the warm, masculine design language of late 1970s–1980s American lodge modern interiors, blending handcrafted timber construction with relaxed luxury seating proportions.
The heavy solid oak frames feature beautifully aged honey-toned wood grain and intentionally exposed circular dowel construction throughout, giving the chairs a distinctly architectural presence reminiscent of high-end Craftsman and California rustic-modern furniture. The thick cylindrical posts, softened edges, and sculptural arm sweep create a visual balance between strength and refinement.
Each chair retains its original loose seat and back cushions and has been fitted with newly added oxblood suede-leather-look cushion covers that elevate the chairs dramatically while remaining true to the era and spirit of the design.
