The chair is immediately recognisable as a Christensen original: the hand-carved open armrests in warm honey-toned wood sweep upward in an elegant curved arc before broadening into a flat, spatula-shaped rest — a form that is simultaneously refined and architectural. The generously proportioned high wingback, with its characteristic notched upper corners and tufted button detail, rises with a quiet authority that commands any interior. The splayed, tapering wood legs complete the composition with the lightness and poise entirely characteristic of the finest 1940s Danish cabinetmaking.
