Magnificent and rare Art Deco Amsterdamse School drop-leaf desk. Design by Willem Penaat for Metz & Co. Amsterdam. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Solid oak base with integrated open bookcase and original black lacquered decorative elements. The writing top is 63.5 cm or 28.74 in. deep when pulled out. This wonderful Art Deco Amsterdamse School drop-leaf desk by Willem Penaat for Metz & Co Amsterdam is in very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
