A remarkable Paris warehouse find, this highly decorative and architecturally scaled pair of monumental palm tree floor lamps is executed in gilt metal and black glass, attributed of Maison Jansen, Paris, Rising to an impressive 100 inches/ 8'3" in height, these sculptural lighting forms embody the glamour and theatricality of the Hollywood Regency aesthetic, long associated with Jansen’s most celebrated interiors.

Each lamp is conceived as a stylized palm issuing from a square cachepot base clad in black glass panels within a gilt-metal frame. From this grounded, architectural plinth rises a richly textured trunk, articulated with repeating scale-like elements that evoke the natural rhythm of palm bark. The crown terminates in a dramatic arrangement of layered, hand-formed gilt-metal palm fronds, each intricately cut and curved to create depth, movement, and shadow.

Concealed within the palm fronds are four internal light sources, producing a warm, diffused illumination that filters through the pierced metal, casting a richly atmospheric glow. The effect is both sculptural and ambient, transforming the lamps into luminous objects as much as functional lighting.
