Circa 1930, excellent … Read more This is a Pair of Antique Chinese Koi Fish Vases, Sancai Glazed in the Tang Dynasty Style. Circa 1930, excellent condition. Blended Art Nouveau design. While the "Sancai" (three-color) glazing technique originated over a thousand years ago during the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD), these particular pieces show characteristics of 20th-century production:
Glaze and Color Palette. The specific deep teal-green and chocolate-brown combination, paired with the opaque yellow accents on the fins, is highly characteristic of export pottery made in Chinese ceramic centers. These vases are 7.75” tall x 5.25” wide x 2.75” deep. I’m including 2 carved Rosewood stands to display them on. See less
