A magnificent tobacco box or cigar humidor crafted from wood covered with burl wood veneer, featuring a marquetry ship on the lid and a metal Hermès logo inside.
The piece is distinguished by its exquisite burl wood veneer, which displays a complex and organic grain. On the lid, a central medallion houses the delicate marquetry figure of a ship, executed with woods of varying shades. The interior is spacious, featuring a small metal Hermès logo affixed to the lower left corner of the lid—an unmistakable mark of the brand's distinction. This logo was placed there because the piece once belonged to a shareholder of the French fashion house.

The piece retains its original humidification system, consisting of a perforated bronze support containing a pumice stone block. This method maintained a constant and natural humidity level for preserving the tobacco.
The side handles, corner appliqués, and the double lock with original key are all made of bronze. See less
