This piece represents one of the most unique and iconic examples of mid-20th-century Spanish design. Considered a landmark creation, it is a rare find, as very few units were manufactured.

The design is articulated around two identical side profiles that seamlessly integrate the backrest, armrests, legs, and rocking mechanism into a single, unified form. The distinctive central oval opening reinforces the sense of lightness and structural unity, while cylindrical crossbars connect both sides and support the seat and backrest as a single, suspended volume. Although the most well-known versions feature a leather seat, this fabric-upholstered variant is particularly rare within the production run of this model.

The significance of this piece is reflected in its presence in the permanent collection of the Barcelona Design Museum, solidifying its status as a design icon. Jordi Vilanova i Bosch was a key figure in Catalan design and interior design, with a career spanning from cabinetmaking to furniture and space creation, distinguished by his ability to integrate artisanal tradition and modernity.
