Beautifully engineered antique "Peerless" drafting table, originally manufactured by the A. Hoffman Co. of Rochester, N.Y., with a design patented around 1910. These tables were the ultimate workspaces for early 20th-century architects, engineers, and artists due to their incredible versatility. Heavy cast-iron tripod base that remains in excellent antique condition. Fully adjustable in three distinct ways via its original, robust iron hand-wheels and threaded central post: you can adjust the overall height, rotate the entire table 360 degrees, and tilt the wood drawing board from a flat table surface to a steep easel angle. Wood has metal edging on two sides.
Today, its compact footprint and heavy industrial aesthetic make it an ideal piece, working beautifully as a unique foyer table, a standing desk, or a display easel for large artwork.
